It's a very long trip from Smith's Falls, Ontario to Adelaide, southern Australia, 10,488 to be exact, but Brooke Henderson and her older sister Brittany packed their dolls and dishes and made the flights to the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open this week, but along with Alena Sharp and Anne Catherine Tanguay it wasn't quite what they all had in mind as they embark on their 2018 season.
Brooke Henderson 72 76 +4, Alena Sharp 74 76 +6, Anne Catherine Tanguay 76 78 +10, all missed the cut.
Brooke had 10 bogeys in 2 rounds and 32 then 35 putts which tell the tale
South Korean Rookie, Jin Young Ko continued her domination, shooting a -1 71 Saturday to increase her lead to four strokes at -11 after three rounds. She has led from thee start at Kooyonga Golf Club. Australian golfer, another rookie Hannah Green moved into second place after the round of the day, a 66, -7 total.
Ko, who won on the LPGA Tour in 2017 as a non-member, could become the first golfer in 67 years to capture a title in her debut as a member, and just the second ever.
The 2018 LPGA schedule features 34 events across 14 countries, including two new events on the West Coast of the United States, for a record $68.75 million in prize money.
Next week it's the Honda LPGA Thailand, then the HSBC World Womens' Championship in Singapore before returning to Phoenix for the Bank of Hope Founders Cup in mid March.
