Well it was her's to win or lose and never missing step Jessica Korda finished one of her best week's as a pro with a commanding 66 62 68 67 -25 four shot win over Thailand's home hope Moriya Jutanugarn 66 69 65 67 -21 and Lexi (Legsy) Thompson 66 68 69 64 -21.
Both women in 2nd played more than well enough to win any other week, but after her Friday round of 62, Korda ranked #26, never gave the field a chance to catch her, smashing the previous mark of -22 set by Amy Yang last year. It is her 5th LPGA win and her first tournament back from jaw surgery in December.
“It’s an incredible thing to be able to win again. I haven’t won in two years. And who knows? It’s so hard out here. These girls are so good. I mean, look at the scoreboard. I had to shoot 25 under just to win,”
Brooke Henderson finished well, with another -5 67, a -16 total which moved her up to T7. Alena Sharp got better as the week went on (75 73 72 71) to finish at +3.
