Brooke Henderson is off to a solid start at the season finale CME Group Tour Championship.
With just one bogey and 3 birdies, out in 36, back in 34 she has finished the opening round T18 -2 70, just 4 shots off the lead on a warm breezy day in Naples Florida. Remember she is 5th in the Race to CME Globe and can have the week of her professional life if she wins her this weekend.
Rookie of the Year Sung Hyun Park shot a -5 67 and is one stroke off the lead held by Taiwan's Peiyun Chien and Aussie, Sara Jane Smith both -6 66 and tied with Lydia Ko, Azahara Munoz, Suzann Pettersen and Karine Icher, all with 67's.
There are so many titles at stake this week. The Player of the Year, the Vare trophy for the lowest stroke average, the money title, it will all come down to Sunday evening.
