Thornhill's Ben Silverman shot another 67 to sit a - 8 going into this weekend at the RSM Classic in historic Sea Island, Georgia and he leads the Canadians, 6 shots off the lead.
David Hearn shot -2 70 and is T33 at -5. Corey Conners has posted 69 69 and is T50 at -4, while Nick Taylor and MacKenzie Hughes have missed the cut.
The story so far is PGA Tour rookie Austin Cook who is bogey free through 36 holes and after a stunning -8 62 has one-shot lead at -14 over 45 year old Brian Gay, who shot a 64. They are five shots clear going into this weekend.
Cook graduated from the Web.com Tour, and as fate would have it has hired Gay’s former caddie, Kip Henley, while Gay has been recovering from injury.
Chris Kirk followed his opening 63 on the Plantation with a 70 on the Seaside and is now T3 -9 C.T. Pan (65) and Vaughn Taylor (66).
