Halfway through the 1st round the field is scorching the Oceanico Victoria GC, with South Africa's James Kingston the best of the bunch at -8 64 to lead by one from in-form Dane Thomas Björn, Northern Ireland’s Gareth Maybin and Austrian Bernd Wiesberger.
Light wind, clear blue skies and generous pin placements are leaving the course defenceless, Kingston for example had 7 birdies in 8 holes.
