It's been a while since I've had Mike Weir the player in the headlines. Of course one of Canada'a favourite sons is this year's captain of the International Team in the Presidents Cup being staged at Royal Montreal September 24 -29.
The seniors are at Harbour Shores GC down in Benton Harbour, Michigan where he T4 in 2022.
He mixed 6 birdies with one bogey -5 66 T3. The leaders Richard Bland and Richard Green are -7 64.
Mike is 54 now, has played in 74 Senior events with the one win at the Insperity Invitational in 2020. He has been 2nd 6 times and has 11 top 5 finishes and 18 top 10's. His owgr 2030, in his pomp he was #3 after he won the Masters in 2003.
