This was also the story at Augusta this year.. remember ?

Update Thursday 9:02 a.m. ET: The first round of the Wells Fargo Championship is delayed one hour due to inclement weather. The first tee time is now scheduled for noon ET. Threesomes will tee off on Nos. 1 and 10 between noon and 2:01 p.m.

The latest forecast calls for more rain this morning, with the heaviest coming between 10 a.m. and noon. Some showers may linger past 1 p.m. but the afternoon is expected to be dry except for a slight chance of a pop-up thunderstorm past 6 p.m. The temperature is not expected to surpass 80 degrees after a cold front moved through the area, and the wind is expected to blow around 20 mph from the southwest. Sunset is at 8:16 p.m.

The 69 players at the Wells Fargo Championship will be grouped in threesomes for the first two rounds because of a cold front that could bring thunderstorms Wednesday night into Thursday morning
