 CJ CUP TOURNAMENT INFO

You may remember the inaugural CJ Cup @Nine Bridges being held in South Korea in 2017 and played at the Nine Bridges GC on JeJu Island. Justin Thomas won it that year and last year with Brooks Koepka lifting the trophy in 2018.

This year it has moved to the Shadow Creek GC in Vegas due to COVID travel restrictions. The sponsor CJ Group has it's HQ in Seoul, and is a large conglomerate holding company for a myriad of business's from food services to home shopping.

The tournament is part of the PGA Tour expanding it's footprint, and does provide several places in the strong field for players from the Korean Tour.

Canadians: Corey Connors is paired with Ian Poulter off #10 at 9.56, Adam Hadwin off #10 at 11.57, Mac Hughes off #1 at 11.57 and Nick Taylor off #10 with Tommy Fleetwood at 10.07 They are all part of the no cut 78 man field.

Dustin Johnson has contacted COVID so has had to W/D. Rory has returned from learning to be a daddy and he is the headliner playing with Sergio and Si Woo Kim off #10 at 10.40 and  many of the field from last week's Shriners will spend their second week in Vegas

Tyrrell Hatton winner of the BMWPGA Championship has flown over from London with Justin Rose amongst others who have been allowed to miss the 14 day quarantine.
