Fowler leads, Rahm set to move to world #1 at Waste Management Phoenix Open

PGA Tour Waste Management Phoenix Open leaderboard https://www.pgatour.com/competition/2018/waste-management-phoenix-open/leaderboard.html

Rickie Fowler shot a -4 67 on Saturday to reach -14 199 as he heads into Super Bowl Sunday at TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course, which was packed with a record 216,818 fans in the heat of the Scottsdale desert.

Big Jon Rahm who is writing his own eulogy in Spain's proud golf history had a 65 -13 playing alongside Phil Mickelson (66 -12) and Xander Schauffele (66 -12) for the third straight day. The 23-year-old Spaniard had five birdies in a seven-hole stretch on the back nine. He won two weeks ago in the California desert at La Quinta to jump to No. 2 in the world and a win here today would move him to #1.

Chez Reavie (67 -12) and Bryson DeChambeau (68 -12) are T2 along with Rahm at -13.

Ben Silverman (70)  and Adam Hadwin (74) are the low Canadians at -4, while Nick Taylor (73) is at E, and while not in contention they will go out and try and add some money to their year's totals.

Tee times have been moved up to finish mid afternoon and clear the decks for the SuperBowl which is expected to kick off around 6.30pm EST.
