She didn't get her first LPGGA Tour win but Alena Sharp didn't let herself or her fans down closing with a +1 73 +3 total in a very tough wind to finish just 5 shots behind the winner Sei Young Kim who shot 70 to finish at -2, one of only 4 players to beat par on Hainan Island in China.
22 year old Kim earned her win after she sunk a clutch birdie putt on the 72nd hole and shot a final-round -2 70 to finish one shot clear of Stacy Lewis 70, Candie Kung 71 and Kim Kaufman 69 at -2 286. It was her third LPGA Tour victory this year and remember she won the other two in playoffs.
Lydia Ko who leads the tour with 5 wins this year shot -2 70 and moved from T20 to T8.
