Castro leads,Taylor T8 in the rain at Sanderson Farms

****Update  Saturday morning play suspended due to rain until at least 10am CST....


Round 2 resumed after a 5 hour rain delay on Friday on a soaked Country Club of Jackson with the field playing preferred lies and Adam Hadwin who had 9 birdies including his first 3 holes of the day on Thursday for his -7,65 didn't get to play at all, and when he does at 7.32am this morning (local) he will start T17.

Playing lift clean and place due to the soft conditions caused by  heavy rain earlier in the week some 9 inches in 2 days, Robert Castro who hasn't won in over 100 starts, remains the story after he shot a -10 62, his lowest score on the PGA Tour, to take a two-shot lead over Aaron Baddeley and Bryce Molder on Thursday he added a -5 67 on Friday to take a four-stroke lead at -15 over Bryce Molder (69), Jhonattan Vegas and D.J. Trahan who are T2 at -11. Vegas and Trahan had two holes remaining when play was suspended for the day.

Defending champion Nick Taylor had a good day and is T8 at -9 69, 66. Graham DeLaet slipped 15 places and is T21 -6 66,72

Half the field were still on the course when the round was halted due to darkness, play is set to resume at 730am local time this morning although it is raining with more expected all day.
