DJ comes from behind to win at Doral..

Dustin Johnson overcame J B Holmes and Bubba Watson to win the WGC-Cadillac Championship and record his first victory since taking a six-month break from the sport.

American Johnson overturned a five shot deficit in the final round by carding a closing 69 to finish -9 at Trump National Doral, one shot ahead of overnight leader Holmes, who struggled to a 75.

It was not the same Holmes we watched over power the Blue Monster all week, his five shot lead turn into a two shot deficit in the space of seven holes due to three early bogeys and four birdies Bubba Watson.

But as Watson faded with three bogeys on the back nine to eventually finish third, it was Johnson who took advantage with birdies on the eighth, tenth and 15th to move into a lead he would not relinquish.

Johnson looks a changed man to me, fatherhood can do that to a guy, listen to what he said after his win.

"I'm so excited right now I can hardly talk. It feels great and it's definitely by far the best one (victory).

After a long layoff, to come back out and win in my fifth start means a lot. I've been working hard on my game and been working hard on me, and so it means a great deal to have some success right out of the gate. It gives me a lot of confidence, too.

This being my first win as a dad, definitely, is the most special. Paulina and Tatum were waiting for me when I got done - that was the best part of the day for sure.

It's hard to describe, but just from the first day he's born, your perspective on life completely changes. Things that were important aren't important anymore; he's the only thing that's really important, and being there for him and being a role model for him.

Holmes ended up -8, Watson -7, while Henrik Stenson’s 72 ensured the Swede finished the week as top European in a share of fourth with Adam Scott, all big hitters you'll notice.

As for Rory ?? He chipped in at the last for a double bogey, 72, T9, so he has just one tournament left at Arnie's Bay Hill in 2 weeks time, before attempting to complete the career grand slam by winning the Masters, and will play practice rounds at Augusta National this week with his father Gerry and some friends, including New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady..
