Once billed as the "world's richest first prize" at $1m, the Nedbank World Challenge has just announced it's field for December and Luke Donald has joined Lee Westwood to beef up what used to be a really star studded invitational twelve. 1st prize is now $1.25m with last place getting a lowly $250,000. They have been playing at the Gary Player CC since 1981.
Seve, Monty, Nick Price, Ernie Els, Johnny Miller have all won here in their prime, and it is a sign of the times I guess that there is so much golf and so much money that the top American is Jason Dufner.

The Seniors now play a 54 hole event in front of the actual tourney for a $250,000 1st prize and here is a report on their field
The winner of last year's Nedbank Senior Challenge, Jeff Sluman, will be defending his title against Gary Player Country Club specialists Nick Price and David Frost, both of whom have won three NGC titles, as well as the player now considered to be the best senior golfer in the world, Bernhard Langer. Langer is also no stranger to the Gary Player-designed layout, and has won here twice. Making up the star studded field will be former Open champion Mark Calcavecchia (who finished as runner-up to Langer in the 1991 NGC), another past Open champion Tom Lehman, and two-time major winner Mark O’Meara. Completing the octet of over-50 stars will be Ian Woosnam
