With most of the golfing world in the far east there is plenty to follow in the wee small hours for guys like me who are used to getting up at 3.30am, that's right, I have no life !
For example Bo Van Pelt leads a pack of guys who are just ripping up the Mines Resort GC at the CIMB Asia Pacific Classic. With scores of 66,64,67 -16 he leads Jeff Overton 67.62,69 -15 by a shot.

In case you were wondering, the winner will receive $1.3 million from the $6.1 million purse in this event sanctioned by the PGA and Asian tours.
Now if $1.3m to the winner is not enough let's go over to Shanghai in China where Rory McIlroy was tweeting Another good day on the course! Excited to have a chance to get another win this year!” adding the hashtag “itsbeentoolong
He has just shot a 7-under 65 on Saturday to increase his lead to three strokes after the third round of the Shanghai Masters to finish -18, 198.
Folks the 30 players are playing for a $2m first prize, the richest in golf and last place pays $25,000 in this IMG sponsored event !! That doesn't include appearance money either.
Anthony Kim,, continuing his fine play is second after a 65 while South Korean, Noh Seung-yul is - 14 (67).
Then Ian Poulter (67) and Hunter Mahan (68) are -11, Lee Westwood (70) and Geoff Ogilvy (66) are -10 and Robert Karlsson (72), Padraig Harrington (73) and Y.E. Yang (68) are at -6
Now to Sotogrande in Spain, this week's stop on the European Tour, the Andalucia Masters 2011 at Valderrama where Scotland's Richie Ramsay 65,72 -5 leads Gregory Havret 68,71 -3. I think Sergio is the story here though. He is at -2 70,70 in third spot coming off his big win at home last week.

Now back to our side of the pond and the Nationwide Tour on Daniel Island in Charleston for their Tour Championship, and remember the top 25 get their cards for next year.
I haven't paid much attention this veteran all year but Sweden's Daniel Chopra fired a tournament-record, -10 62 to tie for the lead with red hot Jason Kokrak 67,67
Chopra is 37 now, it seems like years ago he burst on the scene on the European Tour but he is 24th on the money list and has won twice on the PGA tour, the last in 2008.

breaking news... europeantour.com Luke Donald has reluctantly withdrawn from next week's WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai to be with his wife for the birth of their second child.
The Englishman, who is trying to become the first player in history to win the money lists on both sides of the Atlantic, had been hoping that his second daughter would arrive this week but the World Number One conceded on Friday that family had to take precedence over the US$7 million event in China and his quest to enter the record books.
Donald said: "It's important for my wife and it's important for me to make sure that I'm around to support her. It's no coincidence that the birth of our first daughter inspired me to some really great golf. Family does put a lot of things into perspective; my job is very important but the family out-trumps everything. I would be there if it wasn't for the baby."
