The Sicilian Open has been forced into a Monday finish after dangerous weather conditions ( rain, thunder, lightning)) caused a two and a half hour delay to the final round at the Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa.
Tournament Officials were left with no choice but to suspend play at 11:16 local time on Sunday morning, with conditions not improving until 1:40pm, when play resumed.
That means that the tournament will finish on Monday morning, with at least six two-balls to complete their rounds to decide the tournament’s outcome.
