LPGA and Canadian Tours are back, PGA at Innisbrook, and a new Euro event in Sicily.

Stephen Ames is back in action this week at a tough Copperhead course after his T3 last week in Puerto Rico, by the way he was T6 here last year, and we have Canucks in Phoenix and Columbia..

PGA Tour

Transitions Championship

Site: Palm Harbor, Fla.
Course: Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, Copperhead Course (7,332 yards, par 71).
Purse: $5.5-million.
Winner’s share: $990,000.
Defending Champion..Jim Furyk
Canadians: Stephen Ames

Notes:.World No. 1 Martin Kaymer is in the field and some other guys I like to watch besides Stephen Ames, Sergio Garcia, Bubba Watson because I love watching him hit every kind of shot off that wide open stance, John Daly, Matteo Mannessero, Ryo Ishikawa and the world's longest pro Alvaro Quiros.

LPGA tour

LPGA Founders Cup

Site: Phoenix.
Course: JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, Wildfire Golf Club (6,613 yards, par 72).
Purse: None.
Canadians: Lorie Kane, Lisa Meldrum, Samantha Richdale, Alena Sharp, Stephanie Sherlock

Notes: This is on the Golf Channel so if any of our Canucks do well you may get a rare glimpse of them !! This is a new event and believe it or not there is no prize money as all the money raised for this inaugural Founders Cup, willl go to charity. It's called the Founders Cup in honour of the LPGA pros who founded this tour

Canadian Tour

Barranquilla Challenge

Site: Barranquilla, Colombia.
Course: Barranquilla Country Club
Purse: $100,000

Canadians: Brad Fritsch, Kent Fukushima, Darren Griff, Adam Hadwin, Matt Johnston, Greg McAuley, Adam Speirs, Ryan Williams.

Notes :  There is no TV coverage so watch here for the results from yet another golf tournament in Columbia !! Can you say Villegas !! There are just 27 players in this field, Brad Fritsche was T6  down there last week. Although it is in South America it is the opener on our Canadian Tour

European Tour

Sicilian Open

Site: Ragusa, Sicily.
Course: Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa (7,182 yards, par 71).
Purse: $1.4-million.
Winner’s share: $232,300.

Notes: With most of the big Euro names Stateside as they start their run at the Masters this first ever Euro tour event in Sicily is a bit thin on star power, although Monty has shown up to give it a name. Yet another country to add to the incredible list of places (26 countries) this tour visits and with the success of the Molinari brothers and teen sensation Matteo Mannessero, golf has never been so popular in Italy..

Nationwide Tour
Returns next week in Louisiana.

Champions Tour

Off for 2 weeks, returns in Mississippi
