The average score was 75.09, only 8 players broke par, players shot 80, 60 players made the cut at +6.
Mother Nature came to visit Georgia, and blew the players and fans right off Augusta on a wild and windy Friday at this 88th version of the Masters. The howling wind was more like a day on the links at the Open Championship. Survival was paramount.
Par was good, bogey was expected, doubles were inevitable and birdies were rare with Swedish star Ludvig Aberg posting the low score of the day -3 69 now 7th at -2
Tiger has made everyone happy including the TV executives, making the cut for a record 24th time with a 23 hole Friday under his belt, 73 72 +1 just 7 shots off the lead. " Im here, I got my 2 rounds in, I have a chance to win the golf tournament, that was my goal"
Max Homa made 15 pars 67 71 Scottie Scheffler 66 72 and Bryson DeChambeau 65 73 managed the wind best, all are tied for the lead at -6.

Danish twin Nicolai Hojgaard in his first Masters is alone in 4th 67 73 -4
There are more DP World Tour players at T8 -1, Frenchman, Matthieu Pavon 70 73, England's Danny Willett 68 75, Tommy Fleetwood 72 71, Aussie's Ryan Fox 69 74 and Cam Smith 71 72, along with South Korean Byeong (Ben) Hun An 70 73,
In all just 14 players are under par.
The +6 cut let stars like Rory McIlroy 71 77 +4 and defending champion Jon Rahm 73 76 +5 and Hideki Matsuyama 76 74 +6 all in play for the weekend.
Many more were blown right out of town including Jordan Spieth who took a 9 at the15th on his way to 79 74, Justin Thomas 72 79, Wyndham Clark 73 78, Viktor Hovland 71 81, Brian Harman 81 72, and Dustin Johnson 78 79 amongst others.

Saturday : a great day for golf, Sunny, 76**f (24*c) no rain and wind from the W at 9mph (14kph) with a few gusts between 12pm-5pm
