World Wide Technology Championship... Thursday TEE TIMES...featuring Michael Gligic...

PGA Tour:  World Wide Technology Championship ..

November begins in Los Cabos, Mexico, on the Tiger Woods designed El Cardonal at Diamante, with Russell Henley defending (-23). There are four holes right around 600 yards including the 1st and 18th.

$8,200,000 with 500 Fed Ex Points is at stake for guys who still have issues to resolve before the season ends and 2024 begins in January.

So all the big boys are on off with the DP World Tour Race to Dubai Tour Championship looming for them in Dubai November 16-19 for the likes of Rory, Jon Rahm etal.

There are four Canadians in the field in this full blown Mexican resort area located at the tip of the 1000 mile long Baja Peninsula, long famed for the worlds best Marlin fishing.

1020  1st   Adam Svensson, Martin Laird, Brandt Snedeker

243    1st   Mac Hughes, JJ Spaun, Taylor Montgomery

327    10th  Taylor Pendrith, Sam Ryder, Kramer Hickok

338    1st    Michael Gligic, Tano Goya, Kyle Westmoreland

Michael Gligic, of Canada

Consider Michael Gligic, now 34 from Burlington, lives in Kitchener where his wife Natasha owns a pet accessory business called Walk the Bark. He has 0 wins since turning pro in 2008, finally getting to the PGA Tour in 2020.

He is ranked 567 owgr, and 207th in the Fed Ex Cup standings with just over $2,000,000 in career earnings. He has only made 47 cuts in the 104 events he has played.

This year he has played in 29 events, made the cut just 8 times, won just $169,449. His best finish T13 in the team event in New Orleans.

When I say guys have issues to resolve, Michael is a prime example.  At 34, staring demotion to the Korn Ferry Tour right in the face, well fairy tales do come true in golf, one week when it all comes together, lightning in a bottle, use any cliché you like.

He spent 12 years as a hockey goalie as a youngster, moved down to work with Sean Foley in Orlando after completing his high school diploma on line. It's been a long expensive journey for Michael, one that may yet still have a happy ending, maybe even in Mexico this week.
