DP World Tour : Nedbank Challenge Leaderboard
Max Homa has been in awe on his first trip to Sun City saying his visit to the Safari "'was life changing"
DP World Tour fans that don't see the tall Californian in action on the PGA Tour, may well be in awe of his game after 54 holes as he leads the field 66 68 69 -13 by a shot over friend and Frenchman Matthieu Pavon 68 66 7 -12.
They will be in the final pairing again on Sunday at 920am local time with Denmark's Nicolai Hojgaard 66 70 79 -11.
Watch out for another Dane Thorbjorn Olesen 70 66 69 -11 in the penultimate pairing with England's Dan Bradbury 66 69 71 -10 and Japan's Ryo Hisatsune 67 72 6 -9.
Homa who admitted he was rusty and felt uncomfortable during his opening round had never played this tricky Gary Player course has played 54 holes with 12 birdies, 1 eagle and just 1 bogey.
Saying he'd relied on his short game until he got a feel for his driver, he leads the field in GIR 88% and Scrambling 100%.
