LPGA Drive On final results here
It took Brooke Henderson a competitive round to figure out the Crown Colony course in Fort Myers but once she did she was -10 over her last 2 rounds. You need 3 low rounds to win most of these LPGA events.
72, 67 67 -11 were the final numbers, 6 birdies, just 1 bogey today, she was 7 shots behind the run away LPGA Drive On winner, Irish sensation Leona McGuire 66 65 67 -18. This talented gutsy young woman will be a mainstay in the European Solheim Cup for years to come and she is the first Irish woman to win on the LPGA tour.
Brooke averaged 28 putts over the 3 days and hit 41/54 GIR and she made 17 birdies just 4 bogey's and the one double on her 1st hole of the week.
The women are off now until a far east swing, the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore on March 3 then Honda LPGA Thailand on March 10. Henderson has stuck close to home as far as international travel is concerned during COVID, so we'll see if that trend continues.
A month off is a long time while the rest of the tour is playing, and Brooke was always the traveller with her sister in past years.
