As the weekend's play gets underway at the Wentworth Club, all eyes at this years BMW PGA Championship are on Rory McIlroy (67 65) who begins his 3rd round 3 shots clear of the field at -12 after his 7 birdie -7 65 on Friday.
Frenchman Sébastien Gros (69 66) and England's Sam Horsfield (67 68) are next at -9, a shot clear of reigning Race to Dubai champion Tommy Fleetwood (70 66).
It's another warm sunny day 25 miles west of London, with the breeze finally getting up, which has changed the scoring so far today for the worse.
The best of the bunch so far is a Swede, Marcus Kinhult with 2 eagles and 2 birdies on his card as he plays the final 2 holes. He shot 74 67 and is now at -8, amongst others.
It's moving day of course, I think it will be tough for Rory to replicate what he did on Friday, often players don't follow a really low round with another the next day, so I'll be watching to see if he can get off to a solid start and settle into a good positive mind set, and remember this Burma Road course, although it has been severely re designed, still has 3 par 5's on the back nine. Yesterday his 65 included just one birdie on those 3 holes.
Rory is just off the first in a grey and black shirt, light grey pants along with beefy young Sam Horsfield in a pink shirt and dark grey pants, with funky white sunglasses I might add. Rory had a solid par, just missing the birdie, while Horsfield made a birdie 3 to get to -10.
