With rounds of 75 68 66 -7 Nick Taylor starts play today T6, four shots behind the leader Ricky Barnes. He was bogey free and his 66 equalled the low round of the day.
He credited keeping the ball in play off the tee and a sharp iron game for his outstanding play.
David Hearn is having a good week as well. He is T17 at -5 73 71 67.
Ricky Barnes hasn't won in 221 starts on the PGA Tour. Talk about an ultimate grinder. However, he shot a -5 67 on Saturday and at -11 205 he leads Brendan Steele, (72) by a shot.
Luke Donald (68) who was second last week at the RBC Heritage and Charley Hoffman (70) are at -9.
Local lad Patrick Reed is 5th at -8 after a 70 and for me he had the shots of the day when he was the only player to reach the par 5, 600 yard 8th with driver, driver off the deck to within 15 feet!
