Course specialist Luke Donald leads the RBC Heritage

PGA Tour RBC Heritage leaderboard http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard.html

Playing the week after the Masters is a difficult slot on the Tour schedule, so much so that RBC had to step in with sponsorship several years ago to save it. Many of the guys are not here including Danny Willett and Jordan Spieth,

Jason Day, who tied for 10th at Augusta is the lone top-10 player competing.

The leader is yet another Englishman, Luke Donald who shot his best round since January, -5 66 tied for the lead with Branden Grace and they are a stroke ahead of four players including Day (67)

Donald loves this Hilton Head course as he broke par for the 23rd time in his past 29 rounds at Harbour Town. Talk about horses for courses, he has had five top-three finishes the last seven tournaments here.

He needs a good week as he has fallen to 95th in the world ranking and was infuriated with himself to miss the Masters.

On a bright note, Jason Bohn returned to the game after his heart attack nearly two months ago at the Honda Classic with a +3 74

Canadian scores : Graham DeLaet  -2 69. Adam Hadwin E(71), David Hearn had a +1 72 and Nick Taylor had a +2 73.

The man making all the headlines, Bryson DeChambeau, last year’s NCAA and U.S. Amateur champion, is playing his first event as a pro and he opened with a -1 70
