PGA Tour Sanderson Farms Championship leaderboard http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/sanderson-farms-championship/tee-times.html
Ok all the big names are in Shanghai, or Australia or on holiday somewhere, but like other events that are played the same week as a major, this Sanderson Farms Championship counts as a full blown win on the PGA Tour, just ask our own Nick Taylor.
Last year he had just secured his PGA Tour card from the Web.com playoffs when he got hot here on Sunday shooting 66 to roar up the leaderboard from 4 shots behind for his first PGA Tour title in just his seventh outing. With it came a two year exemption, he finished the year 101st on the money list, but more importantly it gave him some breathing room, a chance to get to know the circuit, meet all the tournament organizers, make some new friends, and feel like he belongs.
Like all the guys on Tour he has had a storied amateur career, in fact you'll remember he was the world's #1 back in 2009. turning pro in 2010 and he has been learning the ropes ever since, slowly but surely climbing the ladder that is professional golf.
He's 27 now, calls Abbotsford in BC home and he's joined by Graham Delaet and Adam Hadwin in the field as he sets out to defend his championship, this time more relaxed, more comfortable, more confident.
It all begins for Taylor on the first tee with Smylie Kaufman at 1146am in Jackson, MS tomorrow morning.
