PGA Tour OHL Classic leaderboard http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/ohl-classic-at-mayakoba/leaderboard.html
Graeme McDowell is usually in the thick of things in Shanghai and the middle east with all his European Tour mates at this time of year, but the 36-year-old has had such a poor year that he chose to start the new PGA Tour season in Mayakoba Mexico and yesterday he found some of his old form when he made seven birdies in an eight-hole stretch for -8 63 to take a one-shot lead in the OHL Classic at -12
Following the birth of his daughter Vale to second wife Kristin Stape he wrote "There's a switch inside me that's flicked and I know things have changed forever," and it is no secret that it took almost a year for him to make up his mind to re dedicate himself to the game, and get back to the grind that is pro golf. Remember he won the US Open in 2010 and was ranked as high as 4th in March of 2011.
Derek Fathauer finished strong with 4 birdies for a 66 -11 to get within one shot of McDowell. Only 2 Canadians in the field, David Hearn shot 70, T27 -4 while Adam Hadwin (72-75) + 4 was not good enough to make the cut.
