Weirsy a shot off the lead at windy Timber Tech Championship...FULL SCOREBOARD

PGA Tour Champions : Timber Tech Championship...

The top 36 players left after this weekend will play the Charles Schwab Championship next week in Phoenix, Arizona

First let's remind one and all that based on the season's accumulative points Steve Stricker with 6 wins including 2 majors, has an unassailable lead and has won the Cup and likely the Player of the Year..

Anti-climatic for sure, so let's just enjoy the world's best seniors for 2 more weeks.

Mike Weir came into the week ranked #33 and after the windy opening round on this Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton, Florida he has moved up 3 spots to 30th,  he is a shot off the 4 way tie for the lead at -4 67 with a -3 68.

Bogey free he was out -3 33 and added another at the par3 12th, but an errant drive on the 18th lead to his lone bogey, E 35 for the 68.

KJ Choi, Paddy Harrington, David Toms and Shane Bertsch are all -4 67

Stephen Ames will play the final after his fantastic year ranked #4, is T33 after +3 74

Veteran lefty Steve Flesch had the worst day +9 80, 8 bogey's and a double !!,, Sounds familiar..
