Aaron Cockerill has finished his third round on the Houghton GC in Joburg RSA well down the field after 54 holes, T48, a stroke under par after scores of 69 70 70 -1
His card shows a commendable 12 birdies, however they have been offset by 7 bogey's and 2 doubles.
The 31 year old Canadian, still looking for his maiden DP World Tour begins this 2024 season ranked #286 in the world and 75th on the Race to Dubai points list.
Meanwhile at the top of the leaderboard South African Thriston Lawrence has emerged from the pack with rounds of 62 66 67 -15.
Three of his fellow Springboks follow, veteran Dean Burmester, 2nd 68 62 68 -12, and rookie Nikhil Rama T3 65 62 72 -11 along with Jacques Kruyswijk 66 64 69 -11
Those are the top 3 in this first of two weeks in South Africa to begin the 2024 DP World Tour season.
