First and foremost Brooke Henderson with a wild 7 birdies and 4 bogey's was 35 34 -3 69 T22 at the conclusion of the opening round of this season finale on the LPGA tour, playing the Gold course at the Tiburon GC in Naples.

She hit 12/14 fairways, 14/18 GIR and used 29 putts and begins this week ranked #14 on the CME money list.

Brooke will begin Friday play in Match 18 at 1045am paired with American Lynn Grant.

Japan's Nasa Hataoka and Chinese Ruoning Yin share the lead -9 63, the course record is 62 (Lydia Ko).  

Australian Minjee Lee is next -8 64 with battling Swede Anna Nordqvist at -7 65. (Anna has been dealing with health issues and lost her longtime partner Kevin suddenly and unexpectedly in October while she was in Korea and has been away from home)

That system has moved up the coast, so lots of sunshine Friday and the weekend, temperatures mid 20's Celsius and the breezes light up to 16kph.
