****EDIT ::: With Aaron Cockerill spending down time with wife Chelsea and new daughter Addison prior to his invitation to play the RBC Canadian Open at Oakville CC this week's stop in Holland sees Jorge Campillo holds a two-shot lead at the halfway stage of the 2023 KLM Open after following up Thursday's stunning 63 with a battling 71 in tougher conditions on day two.
The Spaniard put in a patient performance on Friday afternoon, carding two birdies and a single bogey to head into the weekend on ten under par.
Italy's Renato Paratore was alone in second place on eight under after finishing his round with a hat-trick of birdies to sign for a second successive 68.
New Zealand's Daniel Hillier was another shot back in third, one ahead of the group containing England's Marcus Armitage, Spaniards Adrian Otaegui and Alejandro del Rey, and Swede Marcus Kinhult.
Campillo, who claimed his third DP World Tour title at the Magical Kenya Open Presented by Absa in March, said: "It was a solid round. Obviously it wasn't even close to yesterday's round but I played solid.
"OK off the tee, my irons were solid. I didn't hit it as close as yesterday or make any of those mid-range putts but overall it was a good round.
"The course is playing a little tricky, the greens don't have much grass on so it's hard for the ball to roll good.
"So it's a tricky golf course right now.
