Ben Silverman had a two shot lead at this 54 hole weather affected Home Lenders Championship in Huntsville Alabama as he stood on the 18th tee.
He was bogey free, his last bogey of the week was on the 6th in the second round.
However he pulled his drive well left penalty area. After a drop he could only pitch out to the fairway, hit the green and need two putts to make a double bogey which allowed veteran Ben Kohles who made par into a playoff which he lost on the 2nd hole.
It was the 2nd time this year he made a double on the last for a playoff although he won in the Bahamas the last time. He T3 two weeks ago in Florida.
Silverman is currently 2nd on the Korn Ferry Points list with 992 in 6 events well on his way to winning his PGA Tour card. Kohles with 2 wins in a month after 11 years without any, is the leader with 1251.
