When round one was called for darkness at the Shriners in Las Vegas two of the four Canucks had completed their rounds. Rookie Ben Silverman shot -2 69 T29 and David Hearn is T63 E 71. Nick Taylor birdied his last hole this morning to finish -2 69 and Corey Connors E thru 15.
The leader at -6,65 is South Korean Whee Kim with a pack including veteran Alex Cjeka all at -5 66. Cjeka lives in Vegas and is now 46. Last year he only had one top 10 on the PGA Tour. I honestly didn't see him at all last year.
For those of you asking me, Bubba Watson who I mentioned yesterday has slipped to #63 in world rankings, opened with +1 72.
