Three Canadians still contending at Valero Texas Open

PGA Tour Valero Texas Open leaderboard http://www.pgatour.com/competition/2017/valero-texas-open/leaderboard.html

Bud Cauley (66) looking for his first PGA tour win and long hitting Tony Finau (65)lead this Valero Texas Open at -8, one better than a young Australian, Cameron Smith (65), Kevin Chappell (68), Robby Shelton (69) and do you remember Bob Estes (69)

Jimmy Walker is in a large group at -5 and he is suffering with Lyme disease which is caused by a tick bite, with possible serious consequences such as such as emotional outbursts, nervous system abnormalities, skin issues, and even loss of brain function. He will begin treatment next week.

The Canadian contingent slipped back a little but with the lead only at -8, they are not out of it for the weekend.

Nick Taylor T27 69 73 -3, Adam Hadwin T41 70 72 -2, Brad Fritsch T42 74 69 -1 can all get right in in with a good day today.

David Hearn 76 77 MC, Mackenzie Hughes 74 74 MC

Ian Poulter missed the cut and lost his fully exempt status on the PGA Tour. He will now have to rely on sponsors invitations and may pick up his schedule on the European Tour although he and his family have lived in Florida for a long time.
