Taylor, Hadwin in contention at Valero Texas Open.

PGA Tour Valero Texas Open leaderboard http://www.pgatour.com/competition/2017/valero-texas-open/leaderboard.html

With round two under way down in San Antonio, Nick Taylor has moved to -4 playing in the early wave and is currently T5. Adam Hadwin plays in the late wave, after an opening -2 70.

The leader, also playing late today is South African Branden Grace, -6 66. “That’s the one round I was waiting for,” Grace said. “I’ve been shooting the 69s and 70s, but not getting that one low round. This is nice.”

Steven Alker, Stewart Cink, John Huh and Will MacKenzie are all at -5 67, then there are a dozen players at -4.

The Ian Poulter saga continues. The cut is projected at E and he is at +2 right now through 12 holes. He needs to at least make the cut to keep his PGA Tour card for the remainder of the season. That’s in doubt now after an opening 75 has him well outside the top 100. He’s playing on a major medical exemption and he needs to earn $30,624 before the exemption ends this week.

He will get a few "past champion" and sponsor invites, but will have to go to Q School or return to the European Tour to play his way back onto the PGA Tour.
