Brooke Henderson T2 at HSBC Women's Champions

LPGA  HSBC Women's Champions leaderboard    http://www.lpga.com/tournaments/hsbc-womens-champions/leaderboard

Brooke Henderson says that Singapore is her "favourite place to travel to on tour" and this week the LPGA stop is at the famous Sentosa Golf Club that has 2 championship courses, Serapong and the new Tanjong which is the course they are playing this week.

The property has a stunning view of Singapore right across the strait, and the price to play is stunning as well. $480 per round for a guest on the weekend, $300 during the week !!!

Michelle Wie playing pain free shot a -6 66 to take the first round lead in sunny but breezy conditions. Wie hasn't won since 2014, has had just one top-10 finish since then and is only in this 63 player field on a sponsors exemption. She is all the way down to #179 in the world these days.

Brooke Henderson is off to a great start at -5 67 for a five-way tie for second place along with  Inbee Park, Mo Martin, Anna Nordqvist and Ariya Jutanugarn.

Other notables : Lydia Ko -3 69,  Stacy Lewis and Paula Creamer -4 68, China's Shanshan Feng and the best legs on tour, Lexi Thompson each had 70, veteran Aussie Karrie Webb 75 and Cristie Kerr 77.

Canadian scores:  Brooke Henderson T2 -5 67, Alena Sharp T55 +3 75
