This week the LPGA has returned to action out in la la land, Carlsbad California for the Kia Classic where Lydia Ko is the defending champion. She is competing in her fifth event of 2017 and has three top-10 finishes: T8 at the Honda LPGA Thailand, T9 at the HSBC Women’s Champions and T8 at the Bank of Hope Founder’s Cup.
She has opened with +2 74.
The clubhouse leaders with -6 66 in perfect weather are Mo Martin and Cristie Kerr.
Canadian scores : Brooke Henderson +3 75 and she made 4 bogey's in 5 holes on her back nine, Maude Aimee Leblanc +4 76, Alena Sharp, Jennifer Ha are early in their rounds as I write.
