Tonight the Score of all people has picked up the coverage to the Emirates Australian Open from Sydney, it starts at 8pm, runs til 1am and it is on the Golf Channel as well.
Normally the Aussie Open event gets scant interest here apart from guys like me who cover golf world wide, but of course with Tiger in the mix down under for the next 2 weeks, and the recent tempest stemming from Stevie Williams distasteful remark, there is more than a passing interest. Greg Norman, Freddie Couples have most of the members of their President Cup squads in the field, normally no Americans make this trip, but you will see Bubba Watson, Matt Kuchar, Dustin Johnson etal in action.
Incidently Adam Scott, with Williams on the bag is off the 1st tee at 12.00. Tiger is off at 12.10.. just sayin'..

Then at 1am coverage on the Golf Channel swings to Singapore, for the $6m, Barclay's Singapore Open where a reasonably strong field including Phil Mickelson, Graeme McDowell, Els, Goosen, Harrington, Rose, Yang are some of the world stars in the field.
Mickelson won the Shell Open back in April, but has had a poor year by his standards, he is now at #11 in the world, and wouldn't be here if Barclay's was not one of his sponsors.
Unfortunately for the sponsors, Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy and Martin Kaymer, all the leaders in the Race to Dubai are not in the field this year.
