Thursday TEE TIMES including Aaron Cockerill, Genesis Championship, South Korea.

DP World Tour : Genesis Championship   Course Tee Times  Weather

Please click on my links above for course information, tee times and the weather forecast in South Korea.

I count 36 home players in the 126 man field, a clear indication of the golf explosion in that country, their women have been dominating the LPGA Tour for 25 years now.

Hideki Matsuyama is the top ranked player, Adam Scott has also made the trip to the Far East as has Keita Nakajima last week's runner up to Tommy Fleetwood in India.

Byeong "Ben" An is the defending champion.

Cockerill

It's a big week for Canada's Aaron Cockerill ranked at #117 he needs to get to #110 to retain the card he has held for the last 4 seasons on the DP World Tour, or face Q School. There are also 5 players from other International Tours listed as "in addition" where that cut off is at #115 held by Adam Scott.

  • The Genesis Championship is the final counting event on the 2025 DP World Tour Global Schedule, with the top 110 players on the Race to Dubai Rankings after this event retaining their membership for the 2026 season. With five players currently counted as ‘in addition’ to the 110, the cut-off is currently 115th position - occupied by Adam Scott.

Group 30 12.35 1st  Aaron Cockerill, Fabrizio Zanotti, Jorge Campillo

Canadian Richard T.Lee lives in Asia and plays that tour, is in this field as well.

The weather for the week has no issues, much cooler at 18*c than last week in New Delhi, India where it reached 34*c.

This week marks the first time the DP World Tour has held an event at Woo Jeong Hills, with the venue having previously hosted 21 editions of the Kolon Korea Open on the Asian Tour from 2003 to 2024.

The course was designed by Perry O. Dye, son of renowned architect Pete Dye, and opened in 1993. It was renovated earlier this year with completely new greens by Pete Dye Designs and the signature holes is the 13th, a par-three with an island green.

This is the last regular season event of the 2025 season, all the big names will be in Abu Dhabi for the top 70 playoff Yas Links November 6-9 followed by the Tour Championship November 16-19 in Dubai.
