DP World Tour : Genesis Championship Entry List Course
I believe this is the DP World Tour's 42th event, in their 26th country, it is their last before the 2025 playoff, then the Tour Championship for the Race to Dubai where Rory McIlroy off his career defining season will vie to win his 7th Order of Merit title.
70 players will playoff in Abu Dhabi, then the top 50 make it to the Tour Championship.
Last year Canada's Aaron Cockerill qualified for both, ranked anywhere between 47 & 49.
This year hasn't been so good as he checks into the Woo Jeong Hill CC, in Cheonan, South Korea, 90k from Seoul on the Yellow Sea. Now that is about as far away from Teulon, Manitoba, 60k north of Winnipeg as he can get.
Yet in all that travel, some of it with wife Chelsea and daughter Addison, this is where he has ended up with his 2026 card on the line. The top 110 will get that card.
His rank in the Race to Dubai #117, his owgr #409 He is 33 years old, with 0 DP World Tour wins and two 2nd place finishes. He has won a career $3,746,417.
Turned pro in 2015 and he played his first 3 DP World Tour events in 2019, 20 more in 2020, and his first full season in 2021 where he finished #152.
He has kept his card since 2022, #107, 2023 #76, 2024 #49 and has category 10 status.
First this week he will need to make the cut, then probably a top 25ish finish to move from 117 to #110.
