DP World Tour : Danish Golf Championship Tee Times Leaderboard Weather
WEATHER : Breezy with overcast skies, wind 10-15mph SSE, 26*c
Round 1 is underway with the early wave on course, as you can see it is quite breezy on the Furesø Golf Klub course in Copenhagen, so most of the scores so far with one exception are -1, -2, -3's.
Marco Penge from England who is enjoying his finest season on the DP World Tour has bolted out of the blocks, playing the back nine first in -5 31 with 3 birdies and an eagle 3 at the 18th. He is ranked #5 in the Race to Dubai and now inside the world's top 100 at #97.
He is the clubhouse leader at -7 64 with a display of long driving and pinpoint iron play. For example he reduced the par 5 540yd 18th to a 360yd drive, 160 yard 9 iron to 6 feet, for an eagle 3.
The 64 is a new course record !!

Canada's Aaron Cockerill went off 10th tee at 1240hrs local time which is 6.40am edt. He is now 33, owgr #359, Race to Dubai #110, with no wins and a season with an injury to his foot, has been inconsistent.
Today he began with a scrambled bogey on the 10 and by the 17th he was +1, nothing special. However the 18th is very reachable this week, he was in the greenside bunker in 2. His chance at a sandy became an eagle 3 when it rolled in, and everything changed.
He laid up on the par5 3rd and holed a 27'er.. birdie. Par 3 5th he holed a 10'..birdie...At par 5 6th, drove it in the rough. 2nd shot in the rough, pitched to 14' made the putt.. birdie..Par3 9th 203yds..holed a 41' .. birdie for 31.
His -5 66 has him T2, his best start of the year. He will be out early on Friday.
