Sunday play unlikely at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am... latest scoreboard

PGA Tour ; AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Leaderboard

Once again this Pebble Beach Pro-Am is in the hands of Mother Nature.

Pebble Beach Pro-Am Weather

With overnight winds picking up with gusts up to 60mph, continuing into Sunday with up to 3'' of rain expected on an already soaked course the PGA Tour officials will be on sight at 5am PST to assess the situation, and will inform the players by text at 5.15am.

A decision not to allow spectators for safety sake, has already been made.

American Wynham Clark had a career round and tournament record -12 60 (72 67 60 -17) for a one shot lead after 54 holes, see leaderboard above for all scores.

With more rain still in the forecast for Monday he may well be declared the winner, although with $20,000,000 and national TV coverage etc.,  on the line every effort will be made to get 72 holes done one way or another.

Gary Young is the Chief Referee, here is his timeline. Every effort to play 72 holes must be addressed.

Sunday (all times PST)

5am  Inspect course conditions,

515   Inform players of possible delay to 745 start of play (likely)

9.30 Inspect course conditions with sustained winds 35-40mph and rain expected, further delay.. Continue to monitor weather

12pm  Earliest possible start (unlikely)

At some point play for the day would be cancelled or allowed, with officials saying the course must be considered playable by professional standards.

Monday

5am  Course Inspection

515 Inform players of possible delay to 745am start.

1015  Drop dead time to start play. Play will not be allowed to start if officials know  it cannot be completed on Monday. If play did begin and weather rolled in again, more than half the field must have finished to extend play into Tuesday..

54 hole leader declared winner with all other results standing.

There have already been Monday finishes in 2019 and 2023.

Canadians:

Corey Conners T31 70 70 69 -7

Adam Hadwin T39  73 67 70 -6

Adam Svensson T47  70 73 68 -5

Mac Hughes T71  76 70 70 E
