PGA Tour WM Phoenix Open Leaderboard
It's a big WM Phoenix Open / Super Bowl weekend in Phoenix.
World #1 Rory McIlroy is back in action after winning the Dubai Desert Classic in January,, for the first full field of 17 "designated" tournaments, worth $20,000,000 and $3.6m to the winner. The world's top 20 have been committed to play all but one of them.
Shortly after the winner is announced on Sunday, just west of Phoenix in Glendale at the State Farm Stadium home of the Arizona Cardinals it's Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Taylor Pendrith off his T7 in the rain and wind at Pebble Beach leads the Canadian contingent at 914 (local) off the 10th tee with Scott Piercy and Adam Long.
Nick Taylor is next at 9.59 off the 1st tee with Sungjae Im and Ryan Brehm.
Mac Hughes is back in action at 1021 10th tee with veteran Chez Reavie and KH Lee
Adam Hadwin 1043 10th tee with Peter Malnati who was in and around the lead at Pebble Beach and Matthew NeSmith.
Corey Connors 1054 1st tee with Kevin Tway and James Hahn
Adam Svensson 306 1st tee with JT Poston and Brian Gay
This new format, all spawned by golf's power struggle as a result of Saudi billionaires throwing $225,000,000 into their LIV Series, has attracted the PGA/DP World Tour's top players, so the line up is top class from top to bottom.
