The classic baseball poem "No joy in Mudville" was never more poignant than in Atlanta and LA on Saturday as the mighty 111 win Dodgers were eliminated 3-1 in San Diego by the Padres while in Philadelphia the Phillies trounced the heavily favoured 101 win Braves 8-3 to advance to the National League Championship.
Meanwhile even sweeter for Jays fans, Houston won 3 straight to end the Mariners run in the playoffs and in Cleveland the Tribe walked off the Yankees with 3 runs in a wild 9th inning and have a 2-1 lead in what may be another win for the underdogs today.
Over in Japan, that theme continued as Keegan Bradley who hasn't won in 4 years, Ricky Fowler who hasn't won in three and Andrew Putnam who has never won made up the final threesome.

I'm happy with the way I finished, overall happpy with my week here in New York. I feel like my game is in a good spot heading into the rest of the LPGA season in the next few weeks and hopefully I can finish strong because its been a great year with 2 wins and I just feel like if I can keep the game rolling."
