I've been waiting to see how Mac Hughes was going to play after not being picked for the Presidents Cup.
His opening 71 wasn't anything special "stuck in neutral" he'd say afterward, however on Friday he opened with 3 straight birdies and then it all started to flow, bogey free -9 63 to tie for the lead at -10 heading into play on Saturday.
"I thought my putting would be a good fit at the Presidents Cup, but its not for me to decide. It hurts a bit, but that''s this game, Ill just use it as fuel to play hard and get into that team for Montreal in 2 years.''
He says he's been working out in the gym on a regular basis over the break and will continue this year, and is getting stronger. picking up a little more speed in his swing.
Nick Taylor is having a good week 68 70 -6 T10,
Adam Svensson is T18, 69 70 -5, while Michael Gligic is T31 72 68 -4 and Adam Hadwin 73 69 -2 is T60. Ben Silverman who Monday qualified M/C +3.
