Ryder Cup: Friday Morning Foursomes
7.05 Spieth/Thomas vs Rahm/ Garcia 3&1
7.20 Johnson/ Morikawa 3&2 vs Casey/Hovland
7.40 Koepka/Berger 2&1 vs Westwood/Fitzpatrick
7.50 Schauffele/ Cantley 5&3 vs McIlroy/ Poulter
It was a sunny cool calm start this morning, an all American crowd packed around the 1st tee at Whistling Straits for this 43rd edition of the Ryder Cup.
Europe is defending and will need 14 points to retain the cup
Sergio and Rahm stood arm in arm as the crowd booed their arrival, the sun straight in the players face. Garcia bombed his drive into a difficult lie in a fairway bunker, Thomas shorter but in the fairway,
Rahm chipped out to the back of the green, Spieth left his partner 12 feet hole high. Sergio almost rolled his approach in, and Thomas looking nervous missed his wide right all the way. So they halved the first to start this mornings foursomes..
Looking at all these great players and their pairings I must say that Cantley/Schauffele looked to be the two guys I wouldn't want to play, Cantley with no cap is all business, and very good business at that and Schaufele just doesn't make many mistakes.
They have won the first 3 holes,

update: USA has just won the Friday morning foursomes 3-1. Rory McIlroy/ Ian Poulter thrashed 5&3 after losing the first 5 holes to Cantley / Schauffle.
