With all the big names in contention it was little known Satoshi Kodaira from Japan who beat Korean Si Woo Kim in a 3 hole playoff to win the 2018 RBC Heritage for his first PGA Tour win.
Kodaira, 28, had finished off his round of 66 to get to -12 about an hour before Kim finished. Kodaira matched Kim with two pars on the 18th hole before rolling in his winning putt on the par-3 17th. Kim came up short on his 21-footer for birdie to keep the playoff going.
Ian Poulter had a back nine melt down with 5 bogey's 40 and he T7.
So who are these guys....
Satoshi Kodaira is 29 and plays mostly on the Japan Golf Tour where he has six wins, including two Japan Golf Tour majors, the 2013 Japan Golf Tour Championship Shishido Hills and the 2015 Japan Open.
Si Woo Kim's first win on the PGA Tour came at the 2016 Wyndham Championship. At 21, he was the season's youngest winner. His second win on the PGA Tour came at the 2017 Players Championship, beating Ian Poulter and Louis Oosthuizen by three-shots with a bogey-free 69 in his final round, becoming the second Korean to win the title after K. J. Choi in 2011
