Canadian Pacific Women's Open final leaderboard http://www.lpga.com/tournaments/cp-womens-open/results
Lydia Ko can finally cash a cheque in Canada after she dropped a little two foot putt on the first playoff hole to defeat Stacy Lewis and take home her third Canadian Pacific Women’s Open title in the last four years. The last two in 2012 and 2013 were as an amateur. Imagine your daughter having already won a national golf title three times when she turned 18 !!
As I mentioned yesterday, the three wins ties her with Meg Mallon and Pat Bradley for the most in tournament history.
Stacy Lewis shot -5 67 to force the playoff, while Ko without her "A" game managed a E 72. On the playoff hole, Lewis found trouble off the tee in a heavy lie, and was forced to scramble, missing a 12 footer for par while Ko hit the fairway but left her 8 iron approach safely on but short and away right, but she hit a beautiful lag to within the leather for her third trophy of 2015.
Brooke Henderson wrapped up a magical two weeks with a -5 67 to finish with -4 T23 winning the Sandra Post Low Canadian Medal
Other Canucks: Alena Sharp shot a final-round 75 to finish T47 and Maude-Aimee Leblanc struggled to an ugly 80, and a final 74th in the field.
