Weather : 14*c  Mostly sunny and very windy with gusts WSW to 45mph  P.O.P 10%

With play under way on all three courses, St Andrews, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns the story facing players and fans alike is the cool temperature and strong wind 15-45mph WSW that never materialized

Rory McIlroy in 2022 donning the appropriate weather gear at Kingsbarns..

You will see players donning toques, gloves and warm clothing, with the high temperature on Friday and Saturday just 11*c.

"Fresh" is the quaint way Scots describe it, " bloody freezing" for all those from warm climes !!.

However as the day progressed and the scores were going low, the expected wind never arrived today.

Canada's Aaron Cockerill was  playing Kingsbarns in the late wave today, early on Friday. He began on the 10th tee, going out in +3 39 abetted by a dreaded "snowman 8 on the 18th. However with 5 birdies and 2 bogeys he came in with -3 33 for E72 well down the field T141.

Richard Mansell handled the bad weather best on Friday at the Dunhill Links Championship,2022, somehow posting a four-under 68 at the Old Course to take the Day 2 lead.

Oisin Keniry

Remember it is a Pro-Am so the Ams are all around for three days, which gives this event more of a fun feel. Tyrrell Hatton has won it 3 times.
