This week in India and next in South Korea are the last two DP World Tour events for players to make the top 70 for the November playoff in Abu Dhabi and the top 110 who will retain their cards for 2026. 100-110 get conditional status.

Cockerill

John Chidley Hill

Canada's Aaron Cockerill is one of those who need a good result to get into the top 110 at least, currently at 115.

Cockerill, from Stony Mountain, Man., played his first three DP World Tour events in 2019, finishing the year 261st in the Race to Dubai standings. He moved up to 118th in 2020, stepped back to 152nd in 2021, then rose to 107th in 2022, 76th in 2023, 49th in 2024 and now sits 115th in the rankings for 2025.

In addition to the regular rank and file, Ryder Cup stars Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry and Luke Donald are all in the field at the Delhi GC Lodhi Championship course for this inaugural India Championship ($4m purse) to help promote golf and the DP World Tour footprint in India.

Lowry, Fleetwood who are outside the top 70, as Ryder Cuppers automatically qualify for the playoff.

So while Rory and his colleagues will get all the coverage, as usual there is a lot at stake for some of the players, especially those around the 70 and 100 marks.
