Mike Weir ( 1.43 10 tee) and Stephen Ames (8.34 1st tee) are down in Bethlehem, PA., playing in the US Senior Open along with qualifiers Kevin Baker (9.06 10th tee) and Alan McLean (12.30 1st tee)
Jim Furyk is the defending champion, being one of only 8 players to win the US Open and this US Senior Open. It's being played for the 3rd time at the Saucon Valley CC on the Old Course in his home state of Pennsylvania where he grew up in the Pittsburg suburbs.
The Old Course turns 100 this year, Hale Irwin won the last time it was here in 2000.
Steven Alker tops the Power Rankings heading into the U.S. Senior Open
Bernhard Langer with the record 13 Senior majors is playing and the odds on favourite is Kiwi journeyman turned Senior Tour super star Steve Alker with 17 top 10's and 4 wins in just 20 starts. He won the Senior PGA Championship and was T3 at Regions Tradition in the Champions Tour's first 2 majors of 2022.
