The week after the US Open, the PGA Tour has moved to Cromwell, Ct., for the Travelers Championship in a week that has been dominated so far by a players meeting and a resulting lengthy statement from Commissioner Jay Monahan.
Some highlights are a new calendar schedule running from January -August. A revised Fed Ex playoff format, 8 lucrative international limited no cut events and much more prize money, all this driven by the new LIV Series with unlimited funding by the Saudi's.
Rory McIlroy is playing his 4th straight week heading up a very strong field.
There are 5 Canadians, headed by Mac Hughes 1.30 10th tee, Adam Svensson 12pm 1st tee, Michael Gligic 1.50 10th tee, Ben Silverman who Monday qualified also 1.50pm 10th tee.
Roger Sloan is off early, currently playing his back nine at +3.
